What Is SPLAT® Verb?
SPLAT Verb is a semiochemical bark-beetle deterrent that uses naturally occurring pheromone technology to disrupt beetle communication. Instead of killing beetles with pesticides, SPLAT Verb repels them by signaling that the treated tree is already occupied. The product is EPA-registered, non-toxic, and safe for people, pets, and wildlife.
How Bark Beetle Control Works
Bark beetles release anti-aggregation pheromones once a tree has been colonized. SPLAT Verb mimics those same natural signals, telling incoming beetles the tree is full and should be avoided. Each application typically protects a tree for one beetle-flight season, though occasional years may have multiple flight periods.
